Colfax Youth Soccer Club (CYSC):
CYSC is focused on providing the best class IV recreational ("rec") soccer experience possible for boys and girls ages 4 through 13.  CYSC includes the children living within the Placer School District Colfax, Alta and surrounding areas of Chicago Park and Iowa Hill. CYSC is one of six soccer clubs in the 49er Youth Soccer League (49erYSL).  49erYSL is a part of District VI and the California Youth Soccer Association - North (CYSA).    Players and parents interested in class I (competitive) or class III (select) soccer, please see the "49er United" web page.

CYSC plays its home games at Colfax Elementary School and Colfax High School Park.  Over 215 players participated on 18 teams during the 2008 season. The soccer year begins in February with the election of the CYSC Board of Directors.  Player registration begins April 17th (see the "Registration" page for details) with team selection in June/July.  Practice begins in August and games are played September through November.

CYSC depends on the participation of parent volunteers to be successful!  The Board meets monthly from February through November on the fourth Monday of each month (except holidays), 6:30pm, at Colfax Pizza Factory (in Colfax). If you share the vision to keep soccer fun and thriving in our local community join the 'our' team and become a volunteer Board member or Coach. We always need volunteers for many other small jobs too.

REFEREES!

COACHES!   Volunteer to help the children by becoming a coach.  No experience is necessary.  Visit our Coaches Corner page for information. There are free clinics for coaches, "F" (new coach) Certificate, "E" (intermediate) Certificate and  "GK" (goal keeper).  Contact the Coach Coordinator at CYSC Coach Coordinator today!

49ER YSL (Youth Soccer League) PRE-SEASON TOURNAMENT  AKA Soccerama!
Annual pre-season soccer tournament for age groups U10 through U14 was held on August 22nd, 2009.  Team are not required to participate, however it is recommended and is a great way to access players skills early in the season. The tournament usually consists of three short 15 minutes games for each team.
